Prologue

Well, here we go. My sister, Samantha, and I have decided that we’re going to eat dreamy, delicious, garden-fresh fruits and vegetables over the next three weeks in order to purify our liver (and whatever else). This will begin a series of natural consequences: we’ll feel better, we’ll lose weight, we won’t be groggy, we will break our addiction to the 3:30 PM sugar fix (I hope!).

We’ll post our thoughts over the next three weeks, not because we are insanely narcessistic, but because when we researched for reviews on this system, there were so few.

We’re using the products of Standard Process, Inc. (http://www.standardprocess.com) as recommended by our brother, Dr. David Martin, chiropractor. Basically, it’s all the fruits and veggies you can eat (double the veggies to the fruit). They give you a protein (I think) shake to have 2-3/day, plus supplements.

Samantha and I try to eat healthy generally, though that’s probably more a goal than a reality in my case. I’ll go for lunch and intent to order homemade, organic, three-seed bread, and a crunchy (and creative) organic salad only to cave to the french fries and marinated chicken. Somehow I feel more healthy that the restaurant offers healthy choices.

My sister is more disciplined. The whole family with be enjoying fish and fries, and she eats her salad looking as if she genuinely prefers it!! My guess is this purification/cleanse will be easier for her.

Okay–so there you have some background on us, not much, but you’ll pick it up along the way as we both post to chronicle our 21-day-cleanse.
