Michelle’s Confession

I’m not sticking to the cleanse. I’m really not doing it to cleanse my body of toxins; I’m doing it to lose weight. And, although I know I’d lose weight FASTER if I stuck to the cleanse, I’m not willing to go through days and days feeling lethargic and punchy waiting for my next food allowance. So. I can confess now that I’ve actually been doing day 11 since day one. That is, I’ve eaten fish this week. That’s it. I ate fish. Everything else is basically cleanse-approved. Except coffee. And Eclipse gum. Plus, we grew potatoes and they had to be pulled so I did have a couple bites of potato–instead of my rice.

I’ll let you know if I’ve lost any weight when I weigh myself at the one-week mark–tomorrow.

BETH!! You’re such an encourager. I love it. Also, your avocado idea made me yelp with surprise and delight when I took my first bite of salad today at lunch!

Amy!! Nice job! Eight pounds?? I don’t know how you and Sammy could have lost so much in one week. You didn’t have it to lose!

Nancy, my favorite shake is pineapple/banana. I don’t like berries in the shake–though I do love peaches; Amy is right.

Question: I forgot my cleanse pills two nights this week so I have extra. Should I keep taking the cleanse pills and use them up or switch to the green food? I think I’ll take the cleanse pills one more day and then switch and keep taking green food longer.

Good Morning.  Why does everything taste sooo sweet now?  Even my toothpaste seems over the top with sicky sweetness.  I had cherries last night and they seemed too sweet…I do not think I like this!  I was in such a hurry between appointments yesterday I did not even have time to grab peaches at the Farmer’s Market.  I am desperate for Saturday morning to get some, my shake is just not the same without them!  Food has become boring and I find myself eating just because I am supposed to.  The smell of toating bagels or warm garlic bread is not that attractive since I can not eat it anyway.  My biggest concern is that the day I end the cleanse I will attack the carbs with a vengence.  I am hoping that they become less attractive too!

Beth-I work part time.  My youngest is 10 and I have 3 built in playmates, babysitters and companions for him so it is easier for me to find time, though what I usually do for exercise is fast walking.  This is often done at the track where Jonathan plays football or at Arnold park where James plays football.  I am there anyway and I get the exercise in, instead of sitting around waiting for them to be done.  Your kids are young and take alot more time and attention!

Well, I am off to work and pondering peaches!

Day 10 Beth

I feel good, not great.  I’m still waiting for more energy.  No other symptoms.  Hot flashes are gone.  I think the 6lb I lost all came off of my boobs, none of my bras fit today.  I’m not sure I like that.  I have not been exercising.  I haven’t figure out where to fit it into my day.  How do you Mom’s do this? 

Michelle bootcamp how cool is that.  Can we all go?  Must be nice to have wealthy friends. 

Amy great job on the wieght lose. You are almost at your goal.  The great part about this clease is it really help keep the weight off and change habits too.  I looked back at my logo from last year when I did the cleanse and I am still down 36lb from my day 1 weight one year ago.  I have never been able to do that on any other program. 

Nancy I’m glad you found a shake that works.  Keep going because your tastes bud will change as you don’t need the sugar and salt anymore.  The shake start to taste a lot better.  My 3 year old loves them but she not a big sweet eater.  My 4 year old could take them or leave them, but she can’t get enough sweets.

Day 10-Amy

Wow, halfway there.  Honestly this has not been near as torturous as I expected.  I enjoy the beautiful fruits and veggies and have come up with some new favorites that will stick with me.  It does just get a little boring.  That with the heat, I just haven’t been hungry the last two days.  I end up eating more fruits than veggies, but I am trying to keep that in check.  I have exercised 3 times this week and the sweat really pours out, probably due to no salt!  Taking the pills is no longer a chore, there are fewer and I have gotten better at it.  I am sure the cleanse is working as my body reeks of garlic and has been disposing of excess a few times a day.  The scale says I am down 8 pounds at this point~yeah.  I did want to lose some weight (would love to lose 10 pounds), but really wanted the strict schedule to get me back in control of my eating.  I had lapsed into a horrible eating pattern and passive attempts at adding some structure was not working, so this really got be back and that really makes the difference!

Farmer’s Market today and I cannot wait.  I am out of peaches and low on lettuce and other staples.  How did I ever survive without peaches before????

Day 3 Nancy Today was ok. I was hungry when I got up I think because  of the long but fun day at the park. I went to the gym tonight and had a good workout and was happy to have my veggies when I got home. I liked the shake better today. I’m glad Randy is away for this first week. I think I is making it easier. Oh I went on the scale at the gym (like I always do) and I lost 2lbs. I am kind of doubting losing that in 2 1/2 daysbut I’ll take it for now. I’m tired and need to go to sleep NOW.

Day 8 Beth- Off track Big!!! Time

This weekend was bad.  I went to my husbands 25th class reuion.  I did really well on Friday at the ice breaker, drank my shake, ate before I when so the dried out spiedes and pasta salad was not even a tempation for me.  They had no water only soda and alcohol.  Just went without.  Looking back maybe this was the start of my downfall.  Stayed out until 3AM.  Am I crazy. I’m too old for that and on the cleanse. 

Saturday was tuff.  Picnic renion event started at 12;30.  Got my morning supplyment in and shake but forgot to bring any afternoon stuff with me.  Food was mostly grilled meats which did’t tempt me.  There was the beautiful spinach salad.  Only bad part was the dressing was already on it.  But I ate it, loved it, 3 bowl by the end of the picnic @ 5:30.  Maybe there was sugar in the dressing because I couldn’t get enough.  I ate corn (2 ears) .  By the time we got home I was so hungry even though i ate all afternoon, I must have been on some kind of sugar high with lack of sleep.  Needed to feed the kids I ate everything I fixed for them.  Pass out at 8:oo in a drunken food stooper.

Sunday, great I’ll get back on track.  Wrong.  My husband invited my parents out to dinner.  We when to a grease greeks resterant.  Grilled Greek chicken on the menu.  Great.  it’s early for chicken but that ok I’m close.  Chicken comes it’s cover with gravy.  I tried to eat it but I just got sick thinking about all the bad crap that was in it. 

So need less to say It’s monday and I’m back on track.  I wieghted in thinking I wasn’t going to tell but I was happy.  Even though I had a bad weekend I loss 6 lb.  I going to continou the SP Cleanse supplyment a couple of more days, becuase of the crap I ate this weekend.  But it just goes to show we are all human and Life will get in the was.     

Rules are ment to be bent to fit your life.  Keep up the good work everyone.

End of day 1 Nancy- Well I’m not too happy about the shake. It tastes like wood to me. I keep telling my self  THIS IS GOOD FOR YOU!!!!! I was alittle stressed today. I think that I didn’t eat enough and I’ve been up since 4am. I came home from running around and had every veggie in my house: carrots, eggplant , asparagus, onion, broccoli, yellow pepper, and mushrooms. All in a nice stir fry. I’m somewhat happy.  I have a second shake to do but I want to wait and not mess up my dinner. I’m not having a problem with taking the pills but they seen to get stuck in my throat for a long while. Sam said I need to drink more water. I’ll try that tonight. I do want to like the cleanse. I have my goal set on making it through the first week. Tomorrow will be a challenge at the park.
